My use is probably a little different. I like to fall asleep to rain and thunder. Storm Sim flashes the LED along with the thunder, but I took all the stems from that into Logic Pro and created my own rainstorm. But now, using the app my phone listens to the storm playback from iTunes and flashes the LED, simulating the ambience of a lightning flash from outdoors in the room, precisely in time with the thunder. If it was almost realistic before, it is very realistic now

I got this app to go along with my new phone case, it recommended it. So when I purchased it to flash with my music on my phone it wouldn't work, and my music wouldn't play because it has to be on a different device. If you are looking to get this app or the 99 cent version read the bad reviews on BOTH! Wish their was a 0 star review where the app could also get deleted I would give it that. I believe the 2-5 star reviews are the people that helped create this app. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME- They need to make an updated version.

Doesn't work with music on the actual phone. It uses the microphone to pic up the beat from a separate source. I have a clear case on my iPhone so I thought it was pretty neat and for free I can't complain! If it worked with the music on my phone, however, it would be 5 stars.

This app does do what it says and isn't too bad either, the beats from my car radio well with the sensitivity level set at 4. However my biggest complaint is that you cannot have the app flash to the beat of a song on your iPhone Music app (formerly titled as iPod)! It shuts out the music playing when the app is opened. Good thing this is free!
